26 June 2010 - BREAKING NEWS: New Ministerial Instructions to shrink the list of occupations and impose annual caps on the number of applications for Federal Skilled Workers.  Read details in our NEWS page.

The ideal Skilled Worker candidate must have at least one year experience in an occupation listed at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp, have high proficiency in English (or moderate proficiency in both English and French), be under  51 years of age and hold either a university degree or a post-secondary school diploma.  Alternatively, one might qualify even if one’s occupation is not on the above mentioned list, provided that he/she has secured “arranged employment” in Canada. Various additional options are reserved to those who have relatives in Canada or those whose spouses hold university degrees or post-secondary diplomas.  Since most immigration applications must be filed now directly in Canada, a great asset for each candidate would be to be represented by a professional located in Canada. Le candidat idéal dans la catégorie « travailleurs qualifiés » doit avoir au moins un an d'expérience dans une profession figurant à l'adresse: http://www.cic.gc.ca/francais/immigrer/qualifie/demande-qui-instructions.asp, avoir une connaissance élevée de l’anglais (ou un niveau de compétence moyen en anglais et en français), être âgé de moins de 51 ans et détenir un diplôme universitaire ou un diplôme postsecondaire.
